Blank Email
April 17, 2008 – 3:21 pmMy wife sent an email to my Aunt who then wrote back that she received the email but it only had a subject line and no email content. Do you have any thoughts on why the email keeps coming up blank at the receiving end?
There certainly could be a number of issues affecting this including the way email spam controls are set by individual users and email providers. Sometimes certain types of content or content formats are scrubbed (discarded) before the email is delivered to the intended recipient. The spam filters usually block or isolate the entire email rather than delivering it blank. Here is an interesting situation that may relate to the problem you described which you may never have thought of. I have seen many people utilize paper styles and background styles when they type their email letter. In most cases this does not cause a problem. However I remember one specific case where the creator was using a dark blue background and then had while lettering to stand out. The entire email was done in this style. Funny thing was, the recipient side had a control in place to strip out all backgrounds thus just showing the lettering. Turns out in this case the recipient actually did receive the content of the email but since only the lettering was displayed and it was all white they just could not see it. If you ever need help with email problems give iNeedTech.com a call.
